NEWS BITES......

We gave Polly Pater a surprise birthday cake and sung HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her just after the passing of the peace. Polly turned 90 as of last Sunday. There was a reception after church in which Sandra Doar provided her excellent punch and the Birthday cake was chocolate with beautiful red roses.

Father George Neequaye will begin the series in Adult Forum this coming Sunday. The title of this is Becoming the Beloved Community where you are. This will be our Lenten Study this year. The program is the Episcopal Church's strong and Long term commitment to racial healing reconciliation and justice. All of this to begin this coming Sunday.

Please make sure the lights are out when YOU leave the building. I and several others have come to the building and discovered the lights in the restrooms were on (just you are entering the building), on several different occasions in the past few months. Folks we are wasting electricity in the form of higher electric bills.

If you are meeting in the church in the evenings PLEASE do no set the alarm as Father George, may set the alarm off the next morning, that noise is some way to wake up.

If you would like to add anybody to the prayer list, please feel free to call me at 678-767-5757 by 6pm on Saturday evenings. If I don't answer, please leave a message, I will get it.

Sankofa, a musical tribute to black composers. Mark your calendars, that will take place on Sunday February 25th at 7:30pm
